“ Typical diner spot we decided to have breakfast at one weekday. Great selection of food items from breakfast to dinner. I opted for Texas French toast which was cooked perfectly. My friend was in the mood for a burger and as diner's go, they can cook up anything on the menu at any time! I always appreciate a place where they walk around offering coffee refills regularly so that was a huge plus for me too. Everyone working there seemed really friendly and the food came out really fast. I'll for sure be back to try more off the menu! ”

“ You can tell by my other reviews, I get around and eat out in high quality restaurants quite a bit. I feel like I don't say this enough, but this is the best Chicken Souvlaki Platter I've ever had in any diner. The chicken is always fresh and tender, never rubbery or hard or reheated. It's cooked fresh to order. The amount of chicken is super-generous. It is incredibly well-seasoned, and the fries are crispy and delicious diner fries. I usually get a cup of brown beef gravy to dip them in. You get four large pieces of pita, bread and a fresh salad with super large pieces of feta cheese. All the ingredients are fresh, and there are never ever any wilted or brown pieces of lettuce. There are pitted Greek olives, red onions, and sweet cherry tomatoes and an amazing tzatziki with the taste of fresh and earthy dill. For $16.99 you'll eat twice. I suggest you don't put the dressing on the salad, because you will 100% eat this for lunch the next day. I just dip my forkful into the dressing, I can't tell you how absolutely in love you'll be with this dish. This is my home time diner. I eat breakfast here, and about twice a month, we come for dinner, when we want a cozy diner experience with super incredible staff and good hometown vibes. The owners take great pride in how fresh the food is. Their burgers are amazing too. And by the looks of some of the pasta dishes, which are usually overcooked and bloated pasta in other diners, the other dishes like chicken scarpiello and penne aka vodka looked totally legit, but I cannot attest to this. But, just by looks alone, I'd say the presentation was better than diner quality. If you love a great weeknight dinner, Christy's Diner in Torrington is the place to go. You won't be disappointed. ”

“ The chicken marsala is my absolute favorite! Every time I come, I get the same thing. This is a go to for my family for breakfast and dinner and they have been going for years. Some of the items are much better than others so it's kind of a hit or mess but I've never had a bad experience. The staff and the waitresses are absolutely amazing and so friendly and personable. ”

“ Went here for a quick breakfast before a nice long hike. We were greeted by this friendly older woman who sat us at our booth. Our server was friendly and the service was great. I ordered a western omelette, it was cooked perfectly. My one complaint is I did ask for hot sauce which never came- but my omelette was fine without! I must say their home fries are the best I've ever had! Nice and crispy - seasoned to perfection. They were delicious. We also got some pancakes for the littles, they were happy with the flavor and size. My boyfriend got the eggs benedict and had no complaints. Overall, it was a good experience. ”
